It runs with owners, controls and evidence across application code, authentication, authorisation, infrastructure, APIs, chain integrations, wallet architecture, dependencies, access control and monitoring.
Testing and review are built into the development process.
Controls on Money Leaving the Platform
The strongest control on this platform is the multi-approval payout pipeline every withdrawal passes through.
- Each withdrawal requires multiple independent approvals before it is paid.
- Exceptional deposit credits follow the same multi-approval rule.
- The account holder clears three separate credentials before a payment is prepared.
- Every approval in the pipeline is recorded against the person who gave it.
- Signing keys for platform funds are held apart from the service that answers the application.
Multi-approval control is built into the design of every payout.
How Changes Reach Production
The second control is that every change to behaviour is deliberate and tested.
A defect that reached a user is closed with an automated test that fails if the same defect can occur again, and the test is recorded against the defect it closes.
The release gate refuses any release that deletes one of those tests.
Releases are cut by scripts from a known commit, one node at a time, and every running server is identified by the checksum of the binary it executes.
Traffic reaches the platform through a global edge network, and the application runs active-active on redundant nodes with automatic leader failover.
Threats the Design Answers
The design names each threat and its answer.
- An operator account is compromised: every payout requires an independent second approval.
- A user's password is stolen: a withdrawal needs a wallet signature and two further credentials.
- A dependency is wrong: libraries that stand between a user and their money are tested adversarially, with the wrong key, the wrong length and the wrong message.
- A node is lost: a redundant node carries the same state, and the ledger remains the record of what is owed.
- A figure drifts: the reconciler compares liabilities against on-chain balances continuously, and a difference becomes an operator's task.
Security work is maintained continuously.
